I could be wrong, but what I am talking about is readability for the average person. Grudem is very readable and structured. I think that Demarest is more balanced, but less readable.

I just downloaded his book into my Logos Bible Software so I could read it and use it for notes in our study. I'm not sure what you mean by "accessible" but I'm finding it very useful and very quotable.

I love Demarest. If his book was just a little more accessible I would use his integrative theology for TTP.

I love this quote from our Soteriology study last night:
"The spiritual condition of pre-Christians is grave; superficial remedies cannot redress such a cluster of problems. The only hope lies in a radical, spiritual solution. What ‘once-born’ people need is supernatural transformation of their lives by the power of God. This transformation the Bible calls regeneration or the new birth."

Bruce A. Demarest, The Cross and Salvation : The Doctrine of Salvation (Wheaton, Ill.: Crossway Books, 1997). 292.

Norm,

I just finished the first lesson by watching the video and following along in the workbook. This is an excellent program with all sides of the theological issue being explained sufficiently for now to give one an understanding of the differences among them. I anticipate that the Scriptural bases for the various positions will be provided later whent he issues are discussed in more depth.

This is sorely needed. Thanks for taking the initiative to get it going.

David
