PRAISE THE LORD KEN, I'm interested in knowing have you read any books by WATCHMAN NEE in reference to the Breaking of the Outer Man and Releasing of the Spirit or Walking After the Spirit.... So often when teaching or discipling other we don't take the time to explain or express the theories of perseverance; which allows us to take them beyond the door of Salvation, in order to walk in commitment to the faith that is measured to all, believing in Jesus Christ...TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!!

PRAISE THE LORD, KEN In response to your excellent question regarding whether or not Prophetess is an designation, office or gift one received. I would like to express this answer as the Lord explain it to me. In reference to the word of God, man can only assign you and office, such as Bishop,Elder (pastor) or Deacon. But only God can appoint or promote you in the anointing, which is given from him, such as Apostles or Prophetess; which He (Lord) has prepared you to receive from birth..... This is not something I take likely, even though it more that a gift given, because the Level of anointing keeps you in a position to be directly responsible to God ; for your every action.(Deut 18:18-21),(Deut 13:1-4) and (Deut 29:29)..... It takes years for God to season us in His word to serve at any level of anointing of those who are truly, called, appointed, ordain and consecrated unto the will of God the father... So I'm blessed to simply being a preacher, teacher, and evangelist of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, however the Father saw fit to appoint me to a higher grace serving Him; as He direct my steps in a Christian lifestyle as His prophetess and daughter in the body of Christ, directing His word of truth; as He send me in areas of ministry.( JN17:17)....... I hope this brief note has brought some clarity to your question.....................................TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ken:

I live in Huntersville, which is approximately 20 miles north of Charlotte.

Essentially I came to the Lord after struggling with the ideas of a moral life. If there is no God, then there are no morals. If there are no morals then why not be a womanizer for the rest of my life. But something deep down told me this life was wrong. What was worse was my inability to break away from the secular bachelor lifestyle.
Finally one night in February 2001 I cried out to God to proof his existence to me. Without going into grand detail, He did just that; you might say I had a string of existential experiences with the Lord.
After several weeks of this I gave in and week to my first Sunday service, April 1, 2001.
It was there that I first heard the stories of Jesus. Sunday after Sunday I would hear the stories of He and his companions. Then one Sunday in June 2001 I bent my knee to the Lord and became a servant of his.
That is the Cliff Notes version.

SES is a wonderful school. A young man I have befriended at church is enrolled in the philosophy program there.

Have a great weekend Ken!

I do a combination of both. I have taught this kind of classes for a number of years . I spend several hours previewing the DVD and then I use about half to 3/4 of the DVD with my comments and instruction added before, during and after the video part. The combo works very well, pacing the students, explaining terms that they are about to hear, review, discussion, etc. What is the name and location of your church in Maryville?
